Hotspur Way Scaled Back For Rehab Sessions Only

By Ron Carne -

The Premier League confirmed the suspension of all fixtures until April 30 at the earliest on Thursday, and Tottenham have reportedly acted accordingly.

English football ground to a halt earlier this month as the COVID-19 pandemic spread to Europe, with the initial suspension set until April 3.

However, as the number of cases and deaths continue to rise in the country, football has been pushed back further as the priority remains public health and safety.

With no games scheduled for over a month now, Tottenham are understood to have decided that no further training sessions involving the entire squad will take place until April, as per the tweet below from journalist Alasdair Gold.

He adds that the players will be expected to remain fit and sharp at home, while others who are working their way back from injury may still travel into the training complex to receive treatment.

Moussa Sissoko, who is currently recovering from an injury blow, was seen giving an interview to the club’s official account on Friday, but as far as training goes, it is now on hold until next month to maintain the appropriate measures which are in place to avoid the further spread of the virus.
