Now that the summer transfer window has closed, Harry Kane is ready to move on from the summer saga that saw him connected to Manchester City. Kane now focuses on Tottenham Hotspur, which is off to a good start three matchdays into the Premier League season and the England national team.
During this FIFA international break, the 28-year-old is leading the England international team as it looks to qualify for the World Cup next year.
England currently leads Group I with nine points as they’ll be on the road facing The Ferenc Puskás Stadium. Ahead of the matchup, manager Gareth Southgate spoke to the media, where talkSPORT relayed his comments.
One of the questions that the England manager touched on was the mentality of his captain heading into this fixture. Southgate expressed that Kane has moved on from the summer saga and is in good spirits to help his country and club this season.
“From a football and physical perspective, he’s in a very good place, and mentally, he’s a resilient guy,” Southgate said. “He’s very much accepted the situation. He’s looking forward and knows that he can still have a very good season with Tottenham – it’s a fabulous football club with very, very good players.”
“It’s not as if he’s at a small club that can’t achieve anything, and with us, he’s proud to be England captain and has been a critical part of what we’ve done over the last four years; his goalscoring record has been incredible.”

That’s not in the recruitment criteria for Nuno, illusion of wanting to win is different to actual winning. We’ve all tasted that craving that’s what keeps people coming back and as we’ve seen that’s not reliant on winning.

When you recruit Saha and Nelsen or timing of sacking Jose, is it any wonder people doubt the ambition to win a trophy. Players though do come and go but last time I got a little upset of a player leaving was either hoddle or maybe Gough.
