“He’s good enough” – Former Man United midfielder wants his old club to pursue Son Heung-min

By Eddie Razo -

Son Heung-min has become a fan favorite since joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2015. The 29-year-old has also shown that he can be one of the better players in the Premier League, scoring 114 goals in 299 appearances.

Son’s production speaks for itself, which is why former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung urges his former club to pursue his compatriot. In an interview with Goal, Ji-sung stated that the Spurs forward has the qualities to play for The Red Devils.

“(Son) has already proved himself in the Premier League, and I believe he’s good enough to do very well at United,” Ji-sung said.

Ji-sung joked that the only reason Son wouldn’t be keen on joining Manchester United is due to the No. 7 kit being occupied by Cristiano Ronaldo. However, he also provided other alternatives for his former club to pursue if Son is a complicated target.

“The only minor issue would be he may not get his favorite No. 7 shirt as Cristiano Ronaldo is already there!” Ji-sung said.

“But if I had to pick someone other than Son, I would say either Hwang Hee-chan from Wolves or Mallorca’s Lee Kang-in, who both have good potential as players.”

Son is under contract until 2025, so unless Spurs decide to part ways with the forward and secure a large sum, it seems he will remain long-term with the north London-based club.

I read the article elsewhere and with due respect it is more about lauding Ronaldo not that Son would transform Manchester into title contenders. I hate to break it to him, the jersey over there has not been special in a decade.
