Harry Kane was flat to the boards against Manchester United, even playing in a restricted attacking midfield role, rather than having to cover more ground in his usual centre forward role. Against West Ham, the first half consisted of pretty much more of the same, but when there’s half a chance to get in front of the goal, Kane comes alive.
On this is occasion, the 26-year-old (who hits 27 next month) missed the target, but what we got was a glimpse of the athleticism that 6-months on the sidelines can readily diminish. This was a wow moment and a key indicator that Kane is mounting a serious return.
