“He’s a very, very good player” Spurs loanee hailed by his new team manager

By Bruce Grove -

Cameron Carter-Vickers is spending this season out on loan at Bournemouth and the 22-year-old American has been hailed by his new manager, Jason Tindall.

The former Premier League side secured his signature late into the domestic transfer window last week and Tindall claims that they made the move after he was recommended by a former manager.

Carter-Vickers spent part of last season out on loan at Luton Town where he was managed by Graeme Jones.

Jones wanted him back on a permanent deal this summer, but his side couldn’t sign him because they would struggle to pay his current wage as a Tottenham player.

He has now joined Bournemouth via the recommendation of Jones and Tindall has revealed that the American comes highly-recommended and he is expected to add something to their team.

He added that they had lost a lot of their players because of the relegation that they suffered and they needed to add some top quality players to their team, Carter-Vickers is exactly that.

Tindall said as quoted by The Bournemouth Echo: “He’s someone we’ve been aware of for a while.

“He’s someone that Graeme (Jones) spoke very, very highly of from his time at Luton and seeing him ourselves, he’s a very, very good player.

“A very good defender and he will certainly add to the group.

“I’m really happy. Obviously, we’ve lost a lot of players from the squad last year.

“I think we lost 10 or 11 players from the Premier League squad that were influential. If you lose that many players and you only bring in (Rodrigo) Riquelme, you do leave yourself a little bit short.

“I felt we needed to add another body to give us some strength in depth and Cameron is a great signing for us.”
