Harry Winks is one of the players who has come through the ranks at Tottenham to become a senior member of the first-team squad.
The Englishman earned his place in the team with some fine performances and he was also in the England national team at one point.
However, over the last two seasons, he has struggled to play regularly for the club.
Jose Mourinho acquired Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as soon as he could sign the Dane last summer.
His arrival pushed Winks further down the pecking order at Tottenham and he is still struggling to play regularly, even under Nuno Espirito Santo.
The former Wolves boss has been using Oliver Skipp in his midfield instead, and it seems Winks faces a serious battle to save his Tottenham career.
The club posted a training video of the midfielder on their Twitter account recently and fans clashed over what they thought about the midfielder. Here are some of the responses:
He's a lot better technically than most give him credit for

Winks come on if you see this message, do not never forget what you did when we faced Real Madrid.. you bossed both Modric and Kroos at that time.. be a Kante at defense and Pirlo at passing, you have that ability

Harry winks should never EVER be in the same sentence as ‘making it look easy’

In the next bit of the video he either passes it backwards or he gives it to the opposition

Winks' development and resurgence needs to be on Nuno's mind. This guy is miles ahead of Skipp and should be starting games

I was surprised by Winksy boy always thought he was Mr Nice Guy but watching that Cannonball clip he comes over as a bit of a word that we dont use on here.
Probably realises that Bryan has more skill in his left foot than he will ever have.
Winks puzzles me more than anything. Did he just hit a ceiling like Mason (before he left for Hull?) Can he train on or was that it?
Name me one thing he is good at.. passing backwards doesnt count .. hes not good at sensing danger, doesn’t possess great pace, and isnt a good tackler… maybe his decision making has improved over the past 4-5 years…🤔
Been following the Spurs since 1962, when we moved to London area. In all that time the team has been good enough to have won TEN more championships but it is always let down in crucial games by individual errors -something you just never see in the title winning teams. We have great players on their good days but that is never for 38 games a season. Man U, Leeds, Liverpool and Gooners never had bad days in their prime and now Man City (and Chelsea) follow suit. Hojbjerg sets the standard – true professional every game but we need at least 11 like him every time. Has Winks got the ability – he has proved yes – but you cant make fatal mistakes like he does and win championships – it just never happens.
