Heartbreaker Graphic Emerges: This Season One Player Has Cost Us All – All Of Us – £1.69m Per Goal

The Sun

Richard Forrester for The Sun has just run this piece which must surely throw any remaining default-type warmth towards Gareth Bale into a file marked… well, a file.

Too costly for what we got, too precious, and crucially too lacking in a commitment to the cause when we really needed it. Personally, I feel betrayed, and I’m just glad that Mourinho brought it to our attention sooner rather than later. Hey, after all, it’s not like we weren’t warned, eh? Ancelotti *cough-cough*, Zidane *cough-cough*…

Defending Mourinho is like combating the ‘Orange Man Bad’ derangement syndrome in so many ways… but that’s just my take.

I don’t believe that wage % figure. I remember seeing a figure of £220,000 p/w when he first arrived. That seems credible. I simply don’t believe Levy agreed to stump up half.

we need a massive overhaul, even Poch called it. That takes a cycle unless you splash the cash. That’s a five year cycle unfortunately like the first 5 years Poch got.

Oh dear you won’t find truth on Netflix etc. If you do even a cursory review of the gates family history and their dealings and actions your eyes will be opened. your choice to see.

I think there’s a real danger that fans might become permanently disengaged from top flight football if things carry on the way they are.

Changing a sport that was tribal, local and the person on the street’s game to one where 18 year olds are hiring out private islands for their holiday was never going to end well.

Never mind cramming in 62,000 seats, try getting bums on them in a few years time at the prices they’re charging. Football is eating itself alive…

If we won lots of important football matches, with or without Bale in the team, then none of this would matter.

We are a club in crisis, we have lost any footballing identity gained over the last few years. We look directionless, and that is a very nasty place for any top club to be in.

Bale is merely symptomatic, so’s Jose for that matter…

Bit unfair on Bill Gates, good 3 part doco on him on Netflix or the other one- think he seems pretty genuine to me.

Yep. Massive trouble. I wouldn’t rule out relegation battles in the next couple years if those who are said to leave do go.
It’s a whole team from scratch almost and the scouting is non existent.

I said in the summer he would likely start 15 approx Prem matches, and it would work out approx 1 million per match.
Give or take it’s worked out that way.

Waste…….of time…..and money.

There is a massive problem at this club. I suspect that Kane and Son have expressed a desire behind the scenes to leave in the summer. That is probably why Bale has now made this statement so he can be seen to have made that decision first. Lloris, Aurier, and Ali look set for PSG and tbh I think Ndombele wants out to PSG as well.Requilion has also claimed to have now decided he wants to leave and go back to Sevilla stating that the Spurs project is flawed, no doubt for all the reasons above. This is far removed from the comments he made upon arriving. I think these issues are all bubbling away behind the scenes and that is why there has been such a collapse in the team spirit of late. This situation is well and truly rooted in the ENIC/Levy camp. No players will come together in the way Mourinho is demanding because they all know that this is a football club destined never to win anything and owned by people who have no interest in football success. That manifests itself in these performances we have been witnessing recently and to be honest, before Pooch left.

proves yet again Levy has no idea about football….could’ve bought Bruno and Grealish with the money wasted on the likes of Bale, Gedson, Clark and Rose..unbelievable!

The Bale signing wasn’t a purely football deal and therein lies the problem.
