Dele Alli’s form seemed to take a dip under former manager José Mourinho, which led to various rumors surrounding his future with Tottenham Hotspur. Now, this is a small sample size, but Alli seems to have rediscovered his past form.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo recently spoke to the media where the Mirror relayed his comments ahead of their matchup against Watford, and the Portuguese tactician touched on the resurgence from Alli.

“He had a fantastic match against Wolves,” Nuno said. “His work rate was fantastic. Dele is a very talented player but what he is doing is the way he should do it and improve.”

Despite Alli’s form at the moment, Nuno further stated that although the midfielder appears to have found his confidence, he wants him to remain consistent with the quality of play that the 25-year-old is displaying.

“He needs to keep on being consistent, work hard and help the team, keep doing what he is doing every day. He comes to the building, his attitude,” Nuno said. “The talent is there, and it is up to us to find the best solutions, creating relationships, but he is doing well.”

If Alli can maintain this resurgence under Nuno, then there’s a chance that he can find himself back in the mix for the England national team.

Alli has picked the right time to rediscover his form for a possible spot on the Three Lions with the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers ongoing and the tournament occurring next year.

Credit to NES as he has transformed not just Alli but Sanchez & Dier as well. Know plenty think they should’ve been sold but on the evidence so far this season, they’ve certainly improved.
