Future of Tottenham youngster in question as he prepares to go out on loan again

By Bruce Grove -

Although he is still just 20, the long-term future of Jack Clarke doesn’t seem to be at Tottenham at this moment.

This is what former Leeds United striker, Noel Whelan, strongly believes as the Englishman prepares for another loan stint away from the club.

He has already been loaned out three times since he joined the Lilywhites from Leeds United in 2019.

Football London claims that Tottenham will send him out on loan again for the coming campaign if he fails to show enough quality to convince Nuno Espirito Santo in the preseason.

He only just returned from a loan spell having spent the second half of last season on loan at Stoke City.

But he would probably struggle for game time at Tottenham again next season and would need a temporary switch to play more often.

Loan deals are helpful in a player’ development, but Whelan isn’t convinced that Clarke will return to become a regular at Tottenham in the future.

When asked by Football Insider about his thoughts on Clarke’s future, he said: “I’m not sure if he has a future at Tottenham.

“The fact that he keeps getting sent out on loan suggests to me that he doesn’t have a long-term future there. It is a really difficult one.

“He was fantastic for Leeds but you could see that there were a few frailties in his game. The big question was whether he could make that step up to the top flight so early in his career.

“He has loads of talent but sometimes the mental side of the game is more important than a step-over. You need to work tirelessly every day and put yourself in a position where the manager cannot ignore you.

“Another season where the pressure is on. He needs to prove that he is good enough to play for Tottenham.

“Right now is crunch time for him. You cannot keep going out on loan every season.”

It a hard time to get good looks cause so much is compressed. Preseason is upon us meaning all the attention will be paid to the senior players. I think it benifits the young players if the club do not hesitate by sending them on loans.

Because that is not how the scientific process works. Studies are challenged, results examined and replicated and then challenged again until scientists are satisfied that the results are conclusive before proceeding further. Many studies have been challenged and shown to be in error which is why no-one makes categorical statements without peer review and common scientific consensus. Mainstream papers jump on stuff like this as it attracts readers.

Or people are just thinking for themselves and disagree?

It’s depressing how many people are nowadays swallowing the mainstream narratives without ever questioning them.

Yes, CDC covid symptoms list is now every known condition in human medical history practically. It’s a test scam.

Yep. Only time I ever get downvotes in any capacity is when I mention something counter to the narrative.

Strange how someone has down voted my comment. I didn’t offer an opinion, just mentioned a clinical study that was reported in the media.

I’m sure Nuno will have a good look at him and make a judgement.
Only time I saw him he looked a bit lightweight.

Saw Jack in a live TV game at QPR. Looked like a young kid who had asked to play with the big boys. Would need to develop a lot.

Did you read the Telegraph article about how a significant number of people in a study have developed immunity against Covid from just having colds in the past? The government and Sage seem to be ignoring it. Why?

The club seems to waste so much money on youth which never blossoms……Bostock is another that springs to mind. The 10 million we have invested in on Clarke I personally would have rather used to pay Dybala image rights a couple of seasons back.

Also, not sure how ticket sales are going for Levy but media reporting that “freedom may only last for weeks” (what freedom?)..so the predictable nonsense is coming and full grounds aren’t likely. All make sense when you realize Parliament breaks up on July 22nd and goes back September.
I think it’s pretty clear.
