After last night’s sorry performance against Newcastle United, thoughts naturally turn to the January sales, and as per comments online, Spurs fans are now suddenly expecting to see some meaningful winter transfer window action…

Rumours of a possible transfer for Jarrod Bowen, the 28-year-old English forward from West Ham United, to Tottenham Hotspur have been gaining momentum in recent hours. The Boy Hotspur’s Substack believes that another unhappy Hammer is on Thomas Frank’s wishlist.

West Ham dynamo could cost as much as £60 million

According to recent reports, Tottenham are preparing an official offer of around €60 million (approximately £53 million) to sign the captain of their London rivals, aiming to bolster their attack under the management of Thomas Frank.

Tottenham’s interest stems from the notion that Bowen could be a high-impact signing to strengthen their attack, especially given his versatility as a right-winger and his experience in the Premier League and with the England national team.

Bowen, who has been a key player for the Hammers, could be considering a move if the offer aligns with his ambitions to compete for titles at a more competitive club.

A decision could be imminent, as Tottenham are “preparing” the official proposal. However, there is no confirmation of an agreement nor a response from West Ham so far.

These rumours have also appeared from sources as diverse as Fichajes.net, BBC Sport, and CaughtOffside, and are framed within the context of the upcoming winter transfer window.

Bowen has scored 5 goals in the 2025/26 season so far, making him even more attractive. The whole London derby/West Ham World Cup debacle could complicate negotiations.

Thomas Frank needs to do something, and as his resources are only improved from those of Ange Postecoglou by the addition of Mohammed Kudus. Xavi Simons is going to take time to adapt to one of the world’s most challenging divisions, and players who began to shine, such as Bergvall, have become less reliable looking in recent weeks.
