Former England international says Harry Kane can do ‘pretty much everything’ for Spurs

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is coming off an impressive performance for the north London club in their 4-0 win over Leeds United. The 28-year-old played all 90 minutes and had a hand in two of the four goals.

Kane scored the third goal of the match, then assisted on the strike of Son Heung-min to make it 4-0 for Spurs. Furthermore, the Tottenham striker provided key passes, generating some scoring chances for his teammates.

Former England international Michael Owen appeared on the Premier League Productions (via HITC), where he stated that Kane can do ‘pretty much everything’ for Spurs out on the pitch.

“He is just a great player,” said Owen. “Great players can do pretty much everything. “He’s a great finisher, movement, vision, and you can see him scanning the pitch.”

“Believe it or not, it’s quite an easy pass for him (for Son’s goal). The weight of it all, direction, and pinging it with no pressure. He can do that with his eyes closed.”

Kane had a tough start to the season, but over the last couple of weeks, he’s come alive with the marquee performance coming against Manchester City. If Spurs are going to challenge for a top-four finish, the striker will need to drag the squad to that finish line.

Tottenham did come off a loss against Burnley last week, so the attack could suffer if Kane isn’t scoring or creating chances.

I can think of one thing he’ll never do at Spurs. He’ll never win any silverware. Golden boots and the Audi cup won’t define his career as a winner.

Being one of the worlds best strikers to have never won anything will be some feat though.

But what he can’t do at Spurs is win trophies unfortunately. He may as well do everything mentioned at a club that will support his ambitions.

I would prefer him to stay, but would respect his decision to follow his ambitions elsewhere and wish him all the best.
