Forget all about transfer speculation, it barely exists for Tottenham
By Bruce Grove -

This is a Tottenham blog, we report on the latest Spurs news, we knock out opinion pieces and do match reports and of course, we also cover transfer gossip, however, that is not so easy these days.

My day usually starts off with checking out if there has been any significant overnight news that is worth reporting or expressing an opinion on and seeing what the latest transfer gossip is, even if most of it is just bull.

One of the first places I visit is the BBC gossip page, they collate the latest rumours all in one place and it makes it easy to see what is being speculated about.

Tottenham usually has a good few players being linked with them and you can always find a good piece to write about but not today.

You see, there is absolutely nothing this morning about any player being linked with Spurs, nothing, not one piece, now, the BBC gossip page is updated throughout the day and maybe by the time you read this there is something, but the fact that there is nothing at all first thing in the morning is not usual.

There is always something and the fact there is not is very telling.

The tabloid love making up stuff, we all know that and that is why we take what they say with a pinch of salt but when they cannot even spout bull tells you the absolute mess the club is in right now.

When the media cannot get away with making stuff up then you know something is definitely wrong, even they know that linking players with Spurs right now is simply not believable.

They can say that Elvis has been seen catching a bus on the moon but they just cannot bring themselves to claim this player or that player is coming to Tottenham.

They will get back to it soon enough, don’t worry about that but the lack of transfer rumours in a transfer window in the middle of an international tournament is probably as damning as it gets.

Really, could we ever be more irrelevant?

I sit here and cringe as all other clubs are organizing transfers of players without much agony while Daniel fiddles as we burn our chances for next season as yet we ae without a manager.
Has he yet worked out why so many are running away as if the club has the plague as that is what it must seem to anyone who looked at the long list of poisoned managers.
Why would anyone work for him in a situation that is more likely to give them a black mark on their resume than a silver cup? Even Poc would be crazy to return.

It is a welcome change from all the usual Jackanory-a-like, not being linked with ‘eleventy-nineteen’ players this close season. They’ve just swapped it for a revolving door load of managers this time.

Hopefully, these noticeable telltales in the mainstream are a good indicator that the cancer within out club is now at a stage where the priest can be called; and we’ll soon be out of our misery. That is all we can hope for, right now.

The club is becoming increasingly irrelevant; but we do have a world class stadium and training facilities. Let’s not forget that.

The actual relevance of stuff found on these sites come with no direct quotes, and have no truth in them whatsoever, including this place that said that we have already spoken with Graham Potter something no other has claimed.

Does that mean you’ll skip regurgitating newsnow rubbish from now on? This site is appealing to so many fans because it ignores the twaddle and deals in tangible information

Huh… I never go there as in the past all I could find was a “Cut and Paste” site when clicking on the different postings.

Must have missed that Elvis on the moon story, but I don’t think it’s true because I heard a long time ago that he’s running a fish and chip shop in Hounslow with John Lennon.

There’s more chance of those scenarios than us finishing top 4 in the next 5 years.
