For me, Conte is a genuine reason to be cheerful

We are – in the main – a cursed tribe. The Internet has only served to magnify the most undesirable noises, but there does come a time when one has to acknowledge a few patent truths. Once you remove all the hysterical reactions and look at what Conte is up to, there is a genuine reason to be cheerful.

Many of the useless players have been relegated to the bench, or worse. All the players featuring in our starting XI’s look to be both physically and mentally sharper.

Is it any coincidence that Hugo Lloris looks like he’s reborn? Belief in a skipper can do that, even to a World Cup winner. I know that some will wish to debate what has happened to Harry Kane’s form. All I might suggest is, ‘take a look at our flipping midfield!’

Conte doesn’t talk about building. All his language at Spurs revolves around dealing with the realities of his situation. Making his managerial presence known. I’m a big fan of straight-talking.

I’m a simple man, one that saw us lose 3-0 to this shower, the last time out. Today we won 3-0. Keep your belief, keep your faith. I see actual evidence.

More, please.

Not our home ground though just like the abuse the home fans may dish out to us when we are away… What is the obsession with the club altering the fans songbook seems ridiculous.

I’ve only seen brief highlights but strange the game was an exact mirror of the disaster under Nuno at Selhurst Park, right down to the sending off! Deja Vous in our favour this time. Viva Antonio.

In a recent post I asked the question who does one bring from a realistic stand point. A player that we can actually sign to strengthen this current squad. If you have been with us, those names listed as outgoing are what fell in the deadwood bucket since the summer window closes. So making an argument for them to leave does not move the meter. As much as I would like to have a striker Dusan is not coming in January. I would be shock if he gets move before the summer. So we can move on from him. Franck Kessie is more realistic or the kid I really like is Tyler Adams from Seville ahead of Mckennie. Tyler is smooth and has a few traits and touches of De Bruyne in him. Carries the ball well and is a leader. I would go with Bergwjin as the backup across the front as my first off the bench to relieve Harry or as an added attacker. Then try to move him in the summer. I think Skriniar is out of reach, but if Conte continues to build these guys up Lenglet from Barca would be good as a centerback with Tanganga doing relief across the back line instead of loan. Lots of game time available for him across the back. I thought he was very good against CP. In addition I will bring in Nandez to help out Skipp worker load and still try to move Winks in the window. Any big names coming that can change our fortune in this window, I do not see it.
The outgoings are easy.
I type “outgoing” and Google suggested Doherty. Even Google knows it is time 😆 🤣 😂

Fitting that we won by the forfeiture score in a game that nearly wasn’t played.

I’m not sure they are 50m mate, but here’s hoping the transfer lunacy continues! Levy should be astute enough to know what he fell over in appointing Conte at the second opportunity, but I remain to be convinced the penny-pinching ‘toughest negotiator in football’ has half a football brain. We should back this guy regardless as he is as close to a CL guarantee – which is all Enic require – as you can get.

Sell Dele – Doherty – Winks – CCV; should bring in 50m..go all out to get Vlahovic in Jan….or, you could pretend you lost them and claim on the insurance..

That’s my fear, that Conte has started too well. Hopefully Levy isn’t as football-stupid as we think but until I see otherwise I remain skeptical.

Where is he? Despite differences in opinion, I know he was upset by some stuff that was being said at some grounds. Merry Xmas all, especially you, Mr. Conte.

Spot on, sir. Having a world-class presence in charge has everything changing, including fans who were losing the will to go on under Levy’s managerial lucky dip. I hope he is backed as we’ve never had anyone of this quality under Levy – Jose wasn’t at the top of his standing despite his impressive record.

Is there now only a reply option without approval ratings? I rather enjoyed being down ticked by Tappa!

Nothing particularly against Spammers as a club or the decent section of their supporters. However they have an element that are genuinely utter pond-life, and their insistence that we are their natural local rivals is as unpleasant as it is complete fantasy. Watching their slide down into their more usual territory of well away from the top six will be a pleasurable distraction from Bozzer and Omnipresent…

Agreed. He’s getting the most out of our players in the here and now, which, however, mustn’t allow Levy to think we’re a CL side all of a sudden. We’re not and we require significant investment to be.

This manager is the real deal; let’s give him what he needs to be successful.

I’m totally behind this manager – he’s doing exactly what you’d want from the job to the letter, can’t believe anyone would have any complaints.

No miracle worker but he’s maximising whatever he has at his disposal.

I enjoyed both the Liverpool and Palace immensely, not just because we won but because we seemed to have a games plan and tactics that we stuck to and the football was also entertaining. It begs the question why Levy didn’t recruit him rather than NES but that’s Levy for you but for us to push forward and really challenge, we still need to clear out the deadwood and recruit properly, rather than Levy’s normal haphazard throwing darts at the board of Ligue 1 in France. Yet again, it is time to back the manager, over to you Levy.

On board with all of that. Why on earth we were talking to the likes of Gatusso, Fonseca etc and end up with Nuno is anyone’s guess.

Levy has been wasting so much time f*cking about, micromanaging and actually wasting money in the process rather than actually achieving his ‘objective’ of saving it.

Conte is at Spurs because the situation got so desperate that Levy had to push the boat out to bring him in. Great to have an effective manager on board again, just why did it take so long and why was there so much pis*ing about? 🤔
