A plausible XI to beat Crystal Palace, but is the game going ahead?

A very silly boy lost his marbles last night and decided to tweet that today’s game against Crystal Palace had been postponed.

link

Now, it doesn’t matter whether the game is postponed or not; to state that it was when the Premier League rules state quite clearly the threshold is 13 outfield players when one only has concrete news of two club staffers – is utterly irresponsible. Even if the criteria were to be met at a later date, that would not support a wild claim published a day in advance.

My understanding, based upon knowledge of the standard protocols, is that the clubs will test before travelling from Hotspur Way and wherever Palace are staying, as a precaution. Had either club experienced significant outbreaks of the virus prior to today, one would have expected them to have already communicated this information to the Premier League.

Unless Palace or Tottenham have experienced an almighty surge in positive cases overnight (which is not impossible, but it would be curious) then the game will take place.

What is not up for debate, is that a handful of the backroom staff could not derail an entire Premier League football match.

Sorry wrong person wrong question. Carry on if you think covid is a British issue and some government conspiracy to hijack people lives.

Strange days indeed.
Most peculiar, mama.

Everything in question now. Is Conte really at Spurs? Is there really such a place called Crystal Palace?

COYS!
Be well HH.

Game officially on, Vieira not in the dugout for Palace. Let’s hope ours and Kane’s boxing day record keeps going! COYS

No, they should not derail a Premier league fixture. Even if Dele Alli’s cat has caught the chinky flu it should have no bearing on today’s proceedings.

Cheers H for all your hard work and diligence towards keeping us dullards informed all things Tottenham.

Great work…. always keep it Tottenham.
