Fiorentina prepares to sell Tottenham target after identifying a replacement

By Bruce Grove -

Fiorentina seems prepared to cash in on Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic with a new report claiming that they have identified a replacement for him.

The Florence club has watched him become one of the top strikers in Italy in the last year and they are struggling to get him on a new contract.

Tottenham is interested in bringing him to London to either partner Harry Kane or as one of the replacements for the England captain if they are forced to sell him.

Kane has just returned for preseason and he is still training on his own before he joins the rest of the squad.

The Lilywhites want to keep Kane and regardless of what happens to him, they will still look to add Vlahovic to their squad.

It remains unclear when both clubs can reach an agreement for the Serbian, but Fiorentina is already preparing for life without the former Partizan Belgrade star.

Todofichajes says they have identified Gianluca Scamacca as the ideal replacement for him.

The Sassuolo man is highly regarded among Italian youngsters and he has been doing well for the country’s youth teams.

However, the report claims the Green and Blacks want 40m euros to sell him. Fiorentina hopes to sign him for not more than 25m euros.

Ofcourse it has been done a long time ago, contracts like these are negotiated months in advance.

Vlahovic is more a Kane style centre forward, so if Spurs are seriously in for him then I would suggest this indicates that Kane to City is a done deal and probably has been for a while. Levy and Paratici just needed to work out where to invest the Kane money.

I’m loving these headlines saying things like ‘Nuno makes Kane transfer decision’. I mean do the people that come up with this stuff understand that the people reading it aren’t over 5 years old?! 😂

It is being reported that Vlahovic’s agent is in Milan tomorrow for discussions with Inter & Spurs.

Could Paratici be negotiating a fee for Martinez that in turn would make it feaseable for Inter to secure the services of Vlahovic at a price that is acceptable for Fiorentina? Thereby as the buying club we are also assisting Inter in securing a top quality replacement?

Smart bit of business if so and might even help our reputation as a club that can do business.

If not we have a chance to buy Vlahovic outright ourselves.

Or maybe I’m just dreaming

Vlahovic and Martinez, getting a bit crowded now. Good old Daniel. Fair play.
