Fabrizio Romano tips one player he believes Spurs are open to selling

By The Boy -

January transfer windows are traditionally insipid affairs, occasionally one or two clubs might get an interesting bit of business over the line, but the truth is, halfway through a Premier League season is not the ideal time to be making a dramatic change.

For Tottenham, there are broader complications. Since the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino on 19 November 2019, the club has undergone a period of increased managerial flux, and José Mourinho, then Nuno Espírito Santo were eventually replaced with Antonio Conte. Stability and continuity have been AWOL at Hotspur Way.

Fabrizio Romano understands that one of many candidates to be out the door this winter window could be Steven Bergjiwn. The Dutchman has failed to earn meaningful game time under any Spurs coach, and talk of a move away is unsurprising.

Hopefully, the suggestion that ‘two new’ players could be in-bound is based upon additional sales/resources, as the 25-year-old’s value is unlikely to have soared during his time in N17.

If Conte had been appointed in the summer he’d have had a chance to get the players he wanted and gotten them used to his style of football.

That opportunity was lost by our resident genius and now you have the slim pickings of a January window when the best players are still in the Champions League and few fancy uprooting their life in the middle of the season.

Arthur and Tanguy swap could happen?

There must be a swap deal in the making for Tanguy, a Juve or Barca (they owe us for the Royal deal) must have an eye in doing a deal for him as he’s more suited to those league.

Levy will bumble along making money for Levy while the club suffers wether Conte goes or stays isn’t the issue ..it’s wether the white stallion with Mauricio Pochettino on it is heading towards Levy’s temporary salvation…I hope not…more pastiche than parody…isn’t it easier to buy some of the players needed..not if you view a football club as a borrowing facility to facilitate growth in your chosen specialism..Land and Property management…we are merely bread and butter.

We’re waving goodbye to another dumb Levy punt. By the way Mr Levy is Jack Clarke repaying the 10 mill you paid for him yet? Or how about Ryan Sessegnon who seems to spend most of his time on the treatment table beside another of your flops Lo Celso. Please leave footballing matters to those who know what they are doing and go and polish your head or something.
No more punts in 2022, THFC can’t afford your wastefulness.

My money is on the Swedish lad from Juve and another punt on an unproven number 9.

Stevie B was never of the required quality to improve the team, yet another ineffective and pointless transfer…
