Fabrizio Romano: Levy’s brokered a remarkable €30M deal with Real Madrid

By The Boy -

Exciting times to be a Tottenham fan, by the looks of things. According to much respected football transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have managed to thrash out a deal with Real Madrid for the hugely talented Sergio Reguilon.

The 23-year-old left back would be an extraordinary coup for any Premier League side, and at the suggested €30million price tag, a near miracle for Spurs! If this is a done deal (and Romano says personal terms are completed, plus terms with his club are also agreed) then it surely points to a clearing of the decks at Hotspur Way, in order to fund both this transfer fee and the boy’s wages.

Manchester United were said to be involved at one stage, however the inclusion of a buy-back clause wasn’t apparently to their liking.

A friend sent me a photo of a very young Sergio Regulion at Madrid in 2014 getting his picture taken with his idol Gareth Bale.

One small caveat; this is essentially a glorified loan deal, RM have a buy back clause for 2 years, which is the reason manure pulled out.

We talked about this last week,I’m not a fan of Deeney under any guise,we will get a striker I just hope it’s one better than Troy.

You’d rather no striker? I want him for Europa games. Kane can rest.

Levy is staring a mid table finish in the face and the financial implications of that have frightened his little socks off. Not before time. Maybe I’ve finally got to him lol.

Right then, who’s our new striker – Odsonne Edouard, Leao Vinicus, Bas Dost or Woot Weghorst?

Although the buy back clause is a bummer, it sounds as though we could break even or make a slight profit if RM should take him back.

The buy back is a bit of a stickler,he wants to make it at Madrid, but short term will have to do for now, enjoy him while we can.

I agree, no good sending him back to a Championship side, although loaning him back to Fulham would be the next best thing.

Still not getting any game time. He was not even on the bench on Sunday. Best he might get is the odd cup game every few months. No chance of a start at left back now and he is not going to displace son, bale, moura or bergwin.

I’ve never saw him play I think he was on loan, also heard he had done well, but this lad Serge Regulion is best we could have hoped for.

What is the quarantine situation there? Will they both have to self-isolate for 14 days? Potentially wouldn’t join up with the squad until October?

I agree he has already done it in the Championship, a loan is pointless. He should stay and learn from one of the very best in Bale

I disagree. A loan away is the last thing he needs. He needs to get used to this big club ting. And learn more. He needs to add aggression to his game I know that much for a fact. God knows if that can be taught.

How many games will he get. Not many I’m guessing. If he goes out on loan he will get game time and his ogjo back which is what he needs.

I asked 2 months ago for Regulion and suggested an approach for Doherty so if it goes pear shaped I can’t complain.

Lads, here’s an investor tip. Start buying shares in Kleenex cos The Second Coming will be massive. In fact, you could hoard it up and start selling it on Spurs Community for a decent profit shortly .😀

What good will it do sessy going back to the championship? Sess don’t need games. He needs to master the finer points of his craft. Here with Jose and Ledley is the best place for him to do that.

Great news, if true, but forgive my scepticism, Levy has never agreed to a buy back clause from a selling club. Any idea how much it is?
