Darren Anderton says Tottenham has to take advantage of having Jose Mourinho as their manager and win the Premier League.
The Lilywhites have been managed by the special one since last season, and he is on course to lead them to some silverware this season.
He has helped them overcome their heartbreak of losing the 2019 Champions League final to become the top team in the Premier League after 12 games.
Anderton thinks that the former Chelsea manager has what their other managers have been missing, and they have to win trophies now that he is at the helm.
He said that Tottenham played an attractive brand of football under Mauricio Pochettino, but they won nothing.
However, under Mourinho, they are not playing attractive football but what they have is effective.
“Watching the other teams, there may not be a better chance of winning the Premier League,” Anderton told Marca. “They have to try to win it.
“Mou has brought his magic touch. The difference is the way they play. With Pochettino, it was nice to watch. He did a great job in his five years, reaching the Champions League final – that was fantastic.
“Mourinho has a different style. It’s not as pretty but it’s more effective and reliable. He has a lot of experience and knows how to win the Premier League.”
Spurs have already beaten Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City. If they continue that run of form against Liverpool, then they will soon move clear of the rest of the Premier League.
