Ex-Man Utd ace in awe of work Pochettino did at Spurs as he tips him to succeed Rangnick

By Mark Brus -

Former Manchester United midfielder Luke Chadwick has made it clear he really rates the work Mauricio Pochettino did during his time in charge of Tottenham.

The Argentine spent five years at Spurs, leading the club to their first Champions League final and turning them into serious Premier League title contenders.

Pochettino is now at Paris Saint-Germain and has been strongly linked as Man Utd’s long-term preference to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ralf Rangnick has been brought in on an interim basis, but many still expect it will be Pochettino coming in next season, with Chadwick stating that his work at Tottenham shows he’s the right man for the job.

“If I was a gambling man I’d lean towards Pochettino,” Chadwick told CaughtOffside. “He’s been heavily linked with the club in the past, we know the club think a lot of him and have courted him before.

“I think the brand of football he played was exciting, he got results in Europe as well, getting Tottenham to a Champions League final. He seems like a big character as well, the way he speaks to his players and the relationships he’s built.

“He seems like the right fit for Manchester United. He’s had a bit of a tough time in Paris, but then every manager’s had a tough time there with those big players they’ve got and the strange situation with a not particularly strong league.

“I’m sure he’ll want to challenge himself in the Premier League again, having come close to winning it with Spurs.”

Tottenham also notably tried to bring him back to the club this summer, though this fell through before other options were considered.

It would be a blow for Tottenham fans to see Pochettino back with a Premier League rival after witnessing the kind of work he’s capable of from his time at Spurs.

Ralf will bring Nagelsmann in United next season not Pochettino PSG won’t allow him to leave till his contract ends because of the way he behaved by flirting other clubs while he is under a contract which is very unprofessional and PSG decided to punish him for his deeds.

Freudian slip?
Assuming of course you meant ” the metric is still winning, no?”

He did not win anything. Que the Levy factor. He was good enough to be competitive for but 2 years of his tenure. The matrix is still winning, no?
