“Evolving situation”: Two European clubs interested in signing 26-year-old – Spurs want him gone

By Mehdi Gokal -

Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed that Tanguy Ndombele is not part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans.

He believes Spurs want to part ways with him soon with a number of clubs showing interest in him this summer.

He spent the last season on loan with Napoli last season where he won the League title with them. The Italian club is said to have wanted to sign him on a permanent deal this summer but at a reduced fee.

Galatasaray are another club heavily linked with a move for the midfielder. In fact, a previous report from Turkish outlet Fanatik claimed that they had reached a verbal agreement with Tottenham.

And as per Ertan Suzgun, the Turkish club made an official bid of €8m two weeks ago which was not accepted.

He also revealed that Galatasaray’s rivals Fenerbahce are also interested in signing him.

Rudy Galetti has now also mentioned Galatasaray and Fenerbahce as the two teams interested in signing him but he claims that there have been no advanced talks yet.

He tweeted:

“Tanguy Ndombele is not part of the plans of Tottenham. The England club wants to part ways with him soon.”

“After his experience on loan at Napoli, now Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are on his tracks, but – to date – no advanced talks with Spurs. Evolving situation.”

Ndombele joined Tottenham from Lyon in 2019 for a club-record fee of £63m. However, he has failed to live up to expectations and has failed to impress any of the managers who have been in charge of the club during his time there.

Hence, it would not be surprising if Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy decided to offload the midfielder’s wages for another season.

The club has also reportedly considered terminating Ndombele’s contract if they are unable to secure an offer for him.
