“Everything is prepared”: Sky Sports man shares huge transfer update; defender wants the move

By Mehdi Gokal -

After bidding farewell to their legendary goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, Tottenham Hotspur are now on the brink of parting ways with another player.

A report from Football Insider earlier today claimed that the defender has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich and that former Spurs man Harry Kane has fully endorsed the move.

The news was affirmed by Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, who claimed that the player is indeed on Bayern’s list and that there is a verbal agreement in place.

He added that while discussions about a permanent deal are ongoing, no final decision has been reached yet, with manager Thomas Tuchel to make the final decision.

And now, the Sky Sports man has shared the latest, confirming that there is a ‘total verbal agreement’ between Bayern and Eric Dier. The player has spoken to Thomas Tuchel and wants to join the Bundesliga giants.

He claims that a fee for the player has been decided between the two clubs and the player will be signed on a one-year contract.

Tottenham have given the move a green light and everything is ready. It is now for Bayern to make the final decision.

Plettenberg shared the update on X:

Excl. Details Eric #Dier: TOTAL VERBAL AGREEMENT between FC Bayern and Dier! The 29 y/o wants to join Bayern now!

Contract at least until 2025. Transfer fee: Less than €5m

Tuchel has spoken to Dier. They plan to use him as a centre-back and in the defensive midfield.

Green light from Spurs. Everything is prepared. Bayern just needs to make the final decision for Dier.

Eric Dier has been a stalwart for Spurs for nearly a decade, making 364 appearances. He was an instrumental player for the club under Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure.

But the player has been in a difficult spot this season, finding himself at the bottom of Ange Postecoglou’s pecking order. He has been overlooked in favour of the full-backs Emerson Royal and Ben Davies in the centre-back position.
