Ever Get The Sense That ENIC Are Getting The Excuses In Early? Inc. The Wilson kiss off explained

By The Boy -

This clip from our friends at Amazon Prime is all about the moment immediately after Harry Kane was taken off with his hamstring last season, and the impact it had on the team and the coaching staff at Tottenham. To put it crudely, not having a decent second striker is an inexcusable, self inflicted foolishness.

There are no extenuating circumstances, no yeah but‘s, no mysterious riddles of which football fans are blissfully unaware. Deloitte’s darlings, but a walking time bomb when it comes to mastering the basics.

One gets the feeling that the groundwork for the excuses have already been wheeled out. We’ve had Daniel Levy patronizing the entire fanbase, telling how beyond our understanding getting a deal is – while rivals appear to be able to breeze through the process. We’ve had Steven Hitchen’s espresso fuelled executive stress moment. Yesterday, we had Alasdair Gold tell us that Callum Wilson was £3M too expensive – given his injury record. Just pause and let this risible piece of propaganda sink in.

“From what I understand, it just got to the point where Tottenham felt with his injury record, and his age isn’t the normal Tottenham transfer profile, especially for a player that’s had injuries. They felt where it was getting up to, it was around the £17 million mark, but I think it is now around the £20 million mark that looks like Newcastle are potentially going to get him for. They just felt that with his injury history, it was just too much of a risk.”

The player would have been spending and extra £3million on, if it wasn’t for his pesky injury history. In the last 2 years, Wilson has been absent through injury on 4 occasions. This information was always in the public domain.

Pffffffft.

Enic Joe Lewis, Daniel Levy have nothing planned or prepared for us just lies and false dawns they build up our hopes and constantly let us down. Before we made the champions League it was top players don’t want to join Tottenham because we not in it. Then Tottenham can’t buy top players cause of the stadium now what your excuse. The show pyramids of us shipping in Manchester City, Manchester United Chelsea Targets don’t make me laugh one man looked like he was shopping in MacDonalds world. We have the best stadium the best training facilities is all for nothing if we a midtable side. Levys wanted Mourinho after he won the Champions League with Porto.Yet he still refuses to back the man Doctor Evil overlooking everything.

Well said H…. I just watched the last three episodes and it’s complete nonsense coming out of Levy.. In that jan transfer window it wasn’t just rivals like manure signing strikers. The likes of watford and wolves managed to sign.. Levy was right about the pyramid, but we are nowhere near the top of that. Top clubs go out and sign top players. We are not this… January windows are tougher, but we have to sign one in this window or we are doomed for another season… Steve Hitchen is seemingly as incompetent as scrooge.. Get a striker and a left back.. Relying on Davies to play 70 odd games with no competition for his place is madness… He will get injured. So will Kane.

The club isn’t, the owners are. There is a clear distinction, and you know there is. I don’t believe anyone could be thick enough to not make that distinction.

It obviously doesn’t suit you to, would be my bet…

We were willing to pay Gareth the £600k per week but we’re just a little concerned about his injury record so we’ve opted for Will Hughes instead.

You cannot condemn Gold for being a semi official mouthpiece of the regime.
He knows if he asks any hard questions his access will be terminated.
Just dont expect anything insightful coming out of his mouth and for any hard facts read “theboyhotspur.com”

£3m extra…lets face it, the guy would have likely played 10 games a season (likely not even 10 full games). He wouldnt get injured. This is just lazy (I mean Gold and Enic…not your article).

A good earner for the kind of people that would sell their bottom in Soho for a few extra pennies, even though they’re straight… 😂

For me the entire doc appears to my eyes to be a good earner.

The point is he was serving up naked enic austerity propaganda. The entire doc appears to my eyes an exercise in justification for the regime.

Interesting too we get Ben Davies saying “why do teams need to buy new players? Why not just let [bang average ones] develop?”

Wonder why that escaped the trash can.
