Even Lamela Is Fit – José Confirms Full Squad To Pick From For Premier League Restart|video

By Joe Fish -

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Tottenham have a fully fit squad of players to pick from when the Premier League restarts.

Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Steven Bergwijn and Moussa Sissoko are all back in training having been sidelined prior to the season being halted.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Mourinho was relieved to have his attacking options restocked and expects the boys to be ready to play within a couple of weeks.

Even Erik Lamela is fit! Although there’s still time before June 19th, which is the most likely date from when the 2019-20 campaign will resume.

That first game v Utd is a must win, as we can’t afford to lose any more ground. Most clubs will have injury free squads, being ‘fit’ is another matter. Utd were starting to look decent before the break so they’ll be chomping at the bit. They have so much pace up top it is scary, especially to our defence. Hopefully Maguire and Shaw have piled the pounds on and they will have forgotten how to play.

No huge amounts of cash lying around? I know one of the ground staff who cultivated his lawn. He said he saw £40 in twenties on the side in the kitchen. Levy is minted!😉

What a difference a pandemic makes. I was totally p*ssed off with everything Spurs in March but now with all the boys fit I can’t wait for the return of the PL.

Its a shame about him being so fragile. That boy can play. I like him and would keep him as a squad player. When fit he’s playing.

Levy Owns 29% of ENIC, who own 85% of Tottenham. So Levy himself owns 25% of Tottenham. I suspect Spurs are valued at £2b, minus debt of £637m makes £1.363b. Levy owns a quarter of that, which is £340m, which is what his wealth was listed as on the money list. So in theory at least, he might have no cash in the bank at all!

I’d imagine he had a bit though!

I think you’re right. Wealth will be calculated from assets. They are unlikely to be liquid. Same with Levy – the vast majority of his £340m wealth will comprise of his shares in ENIC. He won’t have huge amounts of cash lying around.

Morning “Stevekillercushion. Replying to a closed blog) I don’t think billionaire buisnesmen like joe have billions or hundreds of millions in the bank doing nothing. Joe didn’t make so many millions last year through bank interest. His money is out there ” at it. I don’t know for sure though mate. What good is £100million in a bank to a businessman. Oh I dunno. Maybe someone else does. Joe maybe could’ve paid for the stadium in one hit but he knew he could work that money for more than the interest he’s paying over the 25 years so why bother. Correct me if I’m wrong someone please. I’m no businessman. Oh and also Steve he hasn’t left us bankrupt and our debt is easily manageable. Peanuts infact🌚

Our fully fit 1st eleven will still be a force to be reckoned with and Lo Celso is going to be a big player for us. I can’t see Ndombele starting ahead of Winks or Sissoko at the moment but hopefully the penny has dropped with him and he will work to force his way into the team to provide the skill our midfield needs. Our defence is a big worry. There is a lot on Tobey’s shoulders with Aurier being a brain fart waiting to happen, Sanchez is off it, Jan is gone, Dier not fully up to it and Jaffa still learning the ropes. Hopefully Jose has been able to use the down time to get the defensive shape in order.

Lamela is fit! I bet he’s injured by lunchtime. His poppadum tendons have stopped him being a legend, whenever he looked decent he was out. Shame.

I think I agree with you but I do like him. I wouldn’t be disappointed to see him stay.

I’m really looking forward to seeing us compete with no injuries. The key for me is the defensive midfielder rol: who plays and how they play? If NDombele can embrace the defensive side and start dominating games, we’ll be in fine shape. If not, Sissoko can do a job there instead. The attacking players are electric – I’m expecting our first team selection to include Kane, Son, Bergwijn, Lo Celso and Dele. With Moura and Lamela on the bench, that’s a strong line up.

I don’t know the stats but it seems Lamela has been injured longer than he’s been fit. I feel for him, he’s lucky to still be playing with his injury history but I know he’ll be injured shortly after the return, all the more likely given none of the players are match fit. We could use a fit player in his position. If he is not sold this summer I can’t see a market next season for a 28 year old with his history.
