European media convinced that Tottenham are determined to complete a swap deal with Italian giants

By Bruce Grove -

Tuttosport, as cited by TeamTalk is reporting that Tottenham remains keen on luring Milan Skriniar away from Inter Milan even if it means doing a player swap.

Spurs are in the market for a new centre back and Skriniar is a long-term target for Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese manager wants to end next season with a trophy and he knows he will have to replace Jan Vertonghen to achieve that.

He has a number of defenders on his mind, but the prospect of getting Skriniar, who he has courted since his time as the manager of Manchester United, is one he cannot ignore.

The report claims that Inter Milan is looking for a new midfielder and the Italians have made Tanguy Ndombele their top target.

It claims that Inter Milan is confident that they can secure the French midfielder if they send Skriniar the other way despite Spurs’ insistence that the Frenchman will be given another season to impress.

Ndombele only joined Spurs in the last transfer window and the Frenchman was expected to be a replacement for Moussa Dembele.

His first season was underwhelming but Spurs are confident that he will eventually come good.

However, the report claims that Spurs will accept an offer for him this summer and a swap deal with Inter may yet happen.

Doherty is a good signing. Pierre will also improve us… Hart will never budge Hugo but he’s english and homegrown rule is coming into play with us. Trippier, rose haven’t been replaced and we were already short on english. KWP also gone…. We will be in the race for top four have no doubt…. We would all like Messi my man but I think he’s off to city to reunite with Pep.

Can’t be worse than last time – Ndombele and Sessegnon?!

Look at the Premier League appearances Højbjerg and Doherty have clocked up recently.

Even if they don’t sparkle at least they’ll get on the pitch and not let us down. Hate to say, but that’s a guaranteed improvement.

This is going to turn out one of the worst transfer windows Spurs has had. Levy has made some massive errors in his time but Doherty, Hart and now this center half from Inter, they are getting worse by the minute, top 4 we’re having a laugh, we’ll be lucky to finish top 8 next season. Levy and Lewis have to go.
