Enquiries Made: Real Madrid’s Goal & Assist Machine Linked With Tottenham | Report

By Joe Fish -

Tottenham have apparently asked about the availability of Real Madrid full-back Achraf Hakimi, who is poised to be one of the hottest properties on the loan market this summer.

The Moroccan international full-back has spent the past two seasons with Borussia Dortmund where he has developed into the type of attacking force some Spurs fans think we have in Serge Aurier. Hakimi has an unbelievable nine goals and 10 assists in 42 matches this season. Not only does that leave Serge (two goals, seven assists) in the dirt, it is also more goal contributions than Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Can he defend? Who cares?!

Those numbers help to explain why 90min.com report that Chelsea, Manchester City, Juventus, Inter Milan, and PSG may all rival us for his signature if he’s available on loan again.

That sounds bad, but the Mundo Deportivo report which linked us to Hakimi on April 8 claimed that his reasoning for questioning his future at Real were concerns over his game time, and that will likely be the same at many of those clubs mentioned above.

This is the first report I’ve read on Hakimi to Spurs since, and although it’s a long shot, I’m glad the rumour hasn’t died.
