Denmark Lost But Hojbjerg Was Still Immense & We’ve Got The Video Clips

By The Boy -

Loose ball duel won

Last night Denmark were beaten 4-2 by Belgium who scored first via Tielemans, followed by two from Lukaku and finally De Bruyne sealed it. Vertonghen and Alderweireld starred for the victors, and our boy Hojbjerg played for 93-minutes for the losing side. Belgium actually scored 5 times, but Nacer Chadli’s was an own goal.

Despite all this, Pierre – in isolation – had a great game – in particular in attacking positions.

Pierre intercepted the ball on 11 occasions.

Hojbjerg made 13 recoveries, 5 in the Belgian half.

I’m just hoping Kane doesn’t get ‘landmark jitters’ waiting for that 250th career goal – it happened before, I can’t remember what number of goals he was just shy of, but it took an age. Would have been handy him scoring it last night…

I’m not sure I’d say any of our players are currently in scintillating form exactly, maybe Højbjerg is close

& I’m sure City will be worried about Kane, Son, Bale, Højbjerg, Reguilón, Ndombele.

Just don’t put up anything about the form of the City players over the international break going into Saturday’s game – bit worried, a few of theirs are flying
