Reguilon has agreed to join Atletico Madrid on a simple loan deal with no buy option, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The journalist has updated the situation with Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon. According to the transfer insider, the Spurs player’s loan move to Atletico Madrid is “imminent.”
Nottingham Forest who were previously seriously considering signing Reguilon have agreed terms for Atletico Madrid’s Lodi and the La Liga club will be signing the Spurs fullback on loan.
Romano then gave another update claiming that the deal is in advanced stages with ‘contracts being prepared’ with Atletico. He tweeted:
“Been told contracts are now being prepared with Atletico – same for Reguilón deal from Tottenham to Atléti on loan.”
Reguilon has been a surplus to Conte’s requirements and was linked with a move away from Spurs all summer. The Spanish full back has been linked with a host of clubs including the likes of Sevilla, Valencia, Barcelona, Juventus, and Nottingham Forest. But now Atletico Madrid appears to have won the race to sign the 25-year-old.
