Danny Rose just keeps on whining and the more he does the more toxic he becomes

By Bruce Grove -

A good section of the Tottenham fan base will probably be glad to see the back of Danny Rose on a permanent basis following his latest comments.

Rose looks to be preparing for a career as a loudmouth pundit as he continues to moan just about everything.

After his interview in 2017 where he criticised Spurs for their transfer business and their contract offers to their players, the Newcastle loanee has continuously run his mouth on issues outside of playing for his team.

After falling out of favour with Jose Mourinho at the Tottenham Stadium and earning a loan move to Newcastle United, one would think that he would keep his mouth shut and prove that he is a talented footballer.

However, his recent comments further cement the fact that he is just an average footballer who may have forgotten how to play the game and is simply looking to make noise and let others forget that he cannot actually play the game.

Speaking on the return to football training this week he said, as quoted by the Sheffield Gazette:

“I’m dying to get back to football, but just with the things that are happening right now, people are going through this coronavirus pandemic a lot worse than me, I don’t want to be complaining about everything,” said the 29-year-old.

“Just off the fact that people are suggesting we should go back to football, like we’re guinea pigs or lab rats. We’ve going to experiment this phase and see if it works or not. I can just imagine people at home saying ‘well, they earn that amount of money, so they should be going back’.

“For stuff like that, I think ‘is it worth the hassle?’. I could be potentially risking my health for people’s entertainment, and that’s not something I want to be involved in if I’m honest.”

And Rose did not stop there, he then went on to reveal a discussion he had with the Newcastle manager Steve Bruce, throwing confidentiality out of the window saying,

“I was having my breakfast the next day, and then I saw Steve Bruce coming up on my phone,” said Rose. “So I was like ‘oh no!’.

“I let it ring for about 30 seconds, and then I thought ‘I’d better answer this’. So I went in another room and I spoke to him, and he said I just need to word things a bit better if I’m going to do things like that.

“He explained the measures that they’re going to do to make things safe. Obviously, I’ve seen the headlines, and we, as footballers and people in the public, we have a platform.”

Rose added: “I know I maybe could have worded what I said a bit better, but six weeks ago (health secretary) Matt Hancock was saying that footballers need to half their wages.

“Now we’re needed to hopefully try to entertain people. People need to make their minds up.”

You tend to give certain players some wriggle room when they run their mouths off if they have been half decent on the field of play, Rose simply has not earned that right and is just another footballer with very limited talent that believes his voice is worth listening to.

Nothing he has said is foolish. He criticised levy’s cheapskatery when the team needed just a little help to achieve big things. That’s the only reason he is despised by a tiny minority.

Regretably Rose has a problem whereby his mouth becomes fully operational before his brain is engaged. I can’t imagine anyone will buy him. Spurs may just need to send him home to sit out his contract. Sometimes it is better to remain silent and be considered to be a fool, than to open ones mouth and remove all doubt.

As a Newcastle fan I’m already sick of hearing what he has to say

Danny Rose was, and is, right. Right about this, and right about Levy the cheapskate and transfers you have to google. And people get their panties in a bunch over him daring to be an actual human with agency who speaks his mind. The constant whining about him on here, as if any of you clowns were fit to shine his boots, is both pathetic and sad for so called fans.

He is still Spurs’ best left back and always put a shift in. He improved massively when he went to Sunderland, so fair play for proving me wrong, as I thought he was one of our worst players before that loan move. His PR has a lot to be desired, but he is good value for a ‘comment’ here and there, mainly for the cringeworthy nature. The one where he doesn’t want to entertain but keep his full wages is noteworthy. He’s calling out the hypocrisy, yet doing neither what Hancock or the EPL want. Brilliant. Who can blame him? Tell me someone who doesn’t want to work yet get paid in full.

It seems he’s always complaining to the press about something or other. I hope at the end of the season we send him back.

Simple. Retire. Many working people are risking a journey to work via the London tube and other forms of public transport on the equivalent of one of your weeks wages to their annual salary. Really not interested in your opinion. Work or leave.

So your saying because you no longer rate Rose that he should no longer be allowed to answer questions he is asked?

We don’t have the virus under control so are you saying he is being difficult by calling it out?
