Danny Murphy gives his verdict on who will finish in the top four

By Eddie Razo -

Liverpool and Manchester City will be fighting for the Premier League title, but the next race many are watching is the log jam of five clubs fighting for the last spot for UEFA Champions League football.

West Ham United, Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all chasing that fourth spot. Pundits are offering their two cents on who will come away with fourth place.

Analyzing the top four picture after this week’s results saw Arsenal lose 2-0 to Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur defeat Brighton & Hove Albion by the same score, English football pundit Danny Murphy told Stadium Astro who sees winning that spot.

“I’ve just got a feeling when I look at the fixtures, I make Arsenal the favorites, but I think Tottenham might sneak in. The two reasons I think they might sneak in is because Conte has always had success everywhere he’s gone,” Murphy said.

“Sometimes managers don’t need to be good, they just need to be lucky, and if you are good and lucky, then great. The other thing is Harry Kane is just hitting the straps at the right time. He just looks so strong and powerful at the moment. So I’ve just got a feeling Tottenham will sneak in for some reason. I hope they do as a former Tottenham player, but it’s fascinating.”

Tottenham will welcome West Ham United this weekend as both clubs have the opportunity to hind their opponent’s chances in the top four race should either side come away with a win. Arsenal will head to Villa Park to defeat Aston Villa; meanwhile, Manchester United welcomes Leicester City, and Wolves see Leeds United visit their grounds.

Fair enough.
I’m not a confrontational person, and I don’t mean any of what I said as a personal affront to Bruce or Eddie or any other contributor. Just that I have enjoyed this space for a long time for what it is, as a place where contributors give their opinions on all things Spurs, opposed to reprinting news pieces already printed by other outlets.
I like reading and watching your take on what’s going on with the club because I can agree (which mostly I do) or disagree, and then have a conversation about the merits or lack thereof of those positions.
But you can’t debate with somebody else’s news.
I remain, however, a daily fan of this blog, and I apologise to Eddie if I’ve been insensitive. I’d just like him to write what HE THINKS about the ‘news’ rather than what somebody else thinks.

People may laugh but I find Tim Sherwood sometimes insightful. He sometimes does the punditry for the official central PL broadcasts and I think he’s been quite accurate at times about Spurs’ problems.

I prefer Murphy to most of the other leeches earning from the game, that seem to find their way onto these pages with their nonsense.

The answer to your question is we cater to all types of readers. The only advice I can offer is not to click on stuff you don’t like the look of. I graze lots of different sites, every day, but only the certain bits that tickle my fancy!

I’m hearing a certain Madness song.
but you’ve a point.
I didn’t mind Bruce and having a different perspective on here but the vibe he got back was not great.
Though why not send over your own blog points as it’s always offered by Harry that he welcomes them. Otherwise you might have to persuade Tappa to set up his own one.

The padding is now far outweighing the content. A bit like an Amazon delivery. I just want HH in a box that fits.

Forgive me if I’m being pernickety or unreasonable, but I thought the purpose of a blog – this one, in respect of the club – was for the author to put forward opinions, and discuss those opinions in a forum of like-minded people. By ‘like-minded’ I don’t mean that we all should travel on a band-wagon of folk who all agree with eachother about everything, or agree with the author, but simply that we all have the same aims and goals and debate about how we get there.
I enjoy HH’s blogs and vlogs because he has an opinion, and it’s his opinion, and I may not agree with every aspect, but he’s a Tottenham man through and through, as am I, and I respect him for it, and I love that he puts himself in front of the camera. Even though he’d benefit from a bit of makeup.

But I’m logging in every day to the regurgitation of stuff we’re fed daily on NewsNow. “Danny Murphy says…” Ian Wright thinks…” “Fabrizio Romano update has Spurs fans buzzing…” I can get all that rubbish elsewhere.
Is this a platform for discussion and debate, or just an extension of nonsence and media hearsay?
