Daniel Levy has offered 27-year-old to Spanish giants – club are keen on signing him

Barcelona have reportedly shown interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur’s midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, according to previous reports from Mundo Deportivo.

The Argentinian player, who spent the past 18 months on loan at Villarreal, has decided that he no longer wishes to stay at Spurs.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez is said to be a fan of Lo Celso and is targeting players with exceptional passing abilities to complement star striker Robert Lewandowski.

The club is also in search of a potential replacement for veteran midfielder Sergio Busquets, who is set to leave the club.

According to the latest report from Mucho Deporte, Tottenham have offered Lo Celso to several clubs, including Barcelona, as chairman Daniel Levy is keen on offloading the player.

Lo Celso has struggled to secure a regular place in the Tottenham squad in recent years and has spent a significant amount of time on loan at Villarreal.

Tottenham are in the middle of a significant summer rebuild which has already seen them sign the likes of James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario and Dejan Kulusevski. They are also linked with a move for Micky van de Ven and Edmond Tapsoba.

Furthermore, reports suggest that Tottenham are working on a double deal for Galatasaray’s Zaniolo and Victor Nelsson.

They are also expected to let go of a number of players including Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Giovani Lo Celso.

However, it remains uncertain whether Barcelona will be able to afford Lo Celso, as the club is currently facing financial difficulties.

The potential transfer will ultimately depend on Barcelona’s ability to work around these challenges and negotiate a deal with Tottenham.
