Daily Tottenham Briefing Feat. Thoughts On Harry Kane’s Next Move| video

By The Boy -

Harry Kane’s decision-making process when it comes to what he might do next requires some degree of thought. I take a view that the England captain needs to dwell upon his relationship with Tottenham Hotspur.

Additionally, there’s this business of underestimating the 27-year-old’s ambition.

Money and honours are what every other professional footballer seeks. Do Daniel Levy’s priorities align with Spurs’? Evidence suggests that they may well not.

Would you move to the other end of the country, just a week before your 7-year-old’s birthday?

We have built multiple teams around these same players already is the problem – if the momentum isn’t there then it comes time to sell. The momentum isn’t there.

It’s not up to us, I could see one or two – they have loads of players that don’t fit.

Martial? VDB? etc

It will be painful mate, but if the lads had enough and wants out then he will go.. Most wouldn’t blame him… You’re right of course we should be building around him.. But does Kane have faith in Hitchen and Levy and our scouting and transfer system? Probably not… I don’t.

If Daniel Levy thinks selling one of our prized assets to fund a rebuild will be accepted by the fans, he’d better think again. We need to be building the team around these players, that approach of selling the best to buy again has been their way for 20 years and it hasn’t worked, Levy needs to promise the likes of Kane and Son that quality players are going to be brought in to play along side them. That is the only way to create a team that has the ability to challenge, any other way WILL NOT be accepted by us the fans.

I wouldn’t touch any of their players. I despise that club with a passion!

The only way it would make sense to have kept Kane this long into his Spurs career would have been if we were on a n upward curve, in the CL and investing in other players like crazy.

Sadly, this is exactly when we should sell – AS A STEPPING STONE/FEEDER CLUB (we still are) – he’ll command top price now esp with a summer tournament, he’s had injuries but he’s still playing more than he isn’t, and the club is desperate for cash and needs a ‘plater over the cracks’ rebuild.

Just tragic this is still what we are, our model.

Man Utd seem the obvious destination now – the club with the money, plus looking to shift a few players we’ve been linked with.

£100 mill and we tie up two or three United transfers coming the other way – not a swap, more like last year’s Saints ‘sort of’ swap with PEH/KWP
