Daily Tottenham Briefing: Can we stop insulting big clubs like Leeds United and Leicester City?| video

By The Boy -

The hunt for the next poor unfortunate at Tottenham goes on, and Football Insider believes that Marcelo Bielsa is a target. Brendan Rodgers’ name has been constantly touted as a candidate.

I’m struggling to understand why either coach would take a step-down and bring a sourness into their CVs.

Maybe we should leave Mourinho out of this, and we should also leave Pochettino out of this too? Oh, hang on, perhaps we need to exclude the whole dozen or more Spurs managers that have also suffocated under ENIC’s tenure and instead just focus upon the billion-pound stadium and world-class training facilities?

Leeds and Leicester are big clubs, well run clubs these days and they deserve more respect.

There is more people in Haringey than in Leicester alone. I bet the unemployment rate is higher in Leicester and I bet the wages are higher in Haringey. Plus Tottenham live here. I also bet the properties in Haringey are worth more than the properties in Leicester.

OK let’s look at taxes in expensive London with more people. VAT. INCOME TAX. INHERITANCE TAX. BUSINESS RATES and all the other taxes. Them places I mentioned dont even come close. Plus the city plus the metal markets. Untold dough to the treasury.

How many people live in those cities I mentioned? How many people live in London? More than the lot above. Then factor in the city. Doesn’t sound stupid now does is

Forgetting the owners bought Leicester in League one. Promoted as champs, championship one year in play offs, then won that with record points, then one year in prem, then win that. Whilst building the academy, training ground, and making hundreds of millions of pounds in player sales whilst always reinvesting to sign players of equal quality or very close to. Then bringing in a top manager you only wish you could have…. Very lucky and all down to Vardy clearly…. come on son

Stumbled?, are you having a laugh

As for hardly well run, check our transfers to net profit, we’ve sold Mahrez, Kante, Drinkwater, Chilwell and MaGuire for big money and can still assemble a very good side

The private jets were the least of Leeds fans problems with Ken Bates. He put the club in to Administration on the condition that he was the only one allowed to buy it out of Admin. Hard to figure I know but his Admin ‘trickery’ earned the club/fans an extra points penalty for our first season in Divi 1. When he sold up he sold forward a number of years season tickets and catering contracts. He even cashed in at a discount, ‘sell on clauses’ on transferred players. He sold the club to Bahraini bankers, GFH, who loaned money to the club and then took the money out as consultancy fees leaving the debt on the club books. Bates couldn’t borrow money himself because he’d put the club through Admin so what chance is there that GFH were acting on his behalf. Just one big scam to bleed the club of its last nickel and dime. Very possible I believe.

Bielsa has a list of conditions that have to be met by a prospective employers before he’ll walk in the door. If the conditions aren’t met he can quite easily walk out that door as he did with a French club after only two days. It doesn’t sound like Levy is that ‘flexible’. It’s almost like the whole club has to dance to Bielsa’s tune or he walks and if Levy doesn’t like dancing then no Bielsa.

Yeah glad I chose to follow them as well as this lot of reprobates. At least with Leeds I can safely sit back and watch a “normal” club go about it’s business. What a contrast – night and day. It’s also nice to follow a club without pressure of massive ambitions (allegedly). Best of all transfer windows are normal – Leeds owners want to bring in players that will improve the squad, not improve the bank balance and the chairman’s income.
You know Levy is the only chairman that interferes to the extent that he has become a celebrity, albeit a laughing stock of one. How many other club chairman are control freaks like him?

Yep he’s scored a lot of goals but he hasn’t galvanised a team into winning anything…….yet.

Levy has made the THFC brand toxic by his underhand skulduggery. No big name is going to want to come to Spurs and suffer the same fate as all those managers, many of them at the top of their game, yet all smothered by the control freak that is Levy.
I actually think we’re going to see a “yes man” signing next up, somebody who is so flattered by our interest that he will get on his knees and lick Levy’s little bootees every week.
The future is bleak if I’m honest as this managerial merry-go-round continues unabated for goodness knows how long. The only possible light at the end of the tunnel is Joe’s age, however I’m sure the poison dwarf has inserted some clause in his contract that says when Joe keels over everything will fall to him. I can just see him now rubbing his little hands together and with his best pantomime laugh saying “it’s mine, all mine” whilst flicking through his brochure of cheap footballing rejects from the French and Dutch leagues.

Not trying to suggest Spurs are well run, but Leicester stumbled on a title winning team which has drastically changed their fortunes and following that triumph the players effectively removed Ranieri as manager.
In the 10 or so years King Power has been owners they have had 7 managers. Prior to Rodgers, Puel took them to 12th and Shakespeare was sacked with them in 18th.
Rodgers was a good appointment and they have made some astute signings but i’d hardly call them well run. I think Leicester owe Mr Vardy a lot.

The footballing world know how ENIC operates. Its become a toxic brand with world class facilities whose footballing team always fails to deliver sacking manager after manager merry-go-around. I would never knock Leeds United and Leicester City. Clubs that do not need multi million pound facilities to provide teams that leave blood and sweat on the pitch.

The north don’t make any money (there is no northern power house). The money is being made here in London. Manchester Birmingham Liverpool Leeds Nottingham Leicester together can’t make the money London makes. Simple

There’s no anything. What’s it all for?. We ain’t going back into stadiums, or being allowed to live so it’s all academic. Indian scam incoming…..after I mentioned the surrounding areas of Manchester suffering it’s interesting it’s the North West who have been targeted with possible local lockdowns with this Indian sham. They can pick and choose which communitys they can target with this sh@t. Rural areas and smaller satellite towns will be priority , driving people into the metropolis. When will the masses wake up??
