Juan Foyth finally got the opportunity he had been waiting for this evening in Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League clash at Norwich City.
And he may be waiting a while for his next one after this mistake…
The Argentine defender is heralded for his ability on the ball and yet this was his undoing, as he took a chance in his own half and was punished by Mario Vrancic, who carried the ball and slotted home from 18 yards.

Elaborate on the ball and then not strong enough to hold off the Norwich challenge, Foyth has left us in need of another comeback. It is the type of error that is totally avoidable and one that Mourinho won’t stand for.
Although he seems to make an exception for Serge Aurier…
I have always championed Foyth to come good, but now I feel that it may not happen in the PL.He’s too prone to mistakes and this league is too unforgiving. It seems the slower pace of International football suits him better.
Foyth has no control, his second touch is a tackle and Aurier just does my head in with his mistakes.VAR and Harry winning his penalty gained one point hardly deserved against the bottom team.Every time a defender gets the ball he looks forward and then turns round and gives it to the keeper.Sessegnon wasn’t brave and went for sidewards passing all night,N’Dombele likes going round in circles a lot but tried his best to make forward passes. We can’t seem to take our chance of getting into the top four and twice in a week have bottled it with a terrible performance.
