‘…contact planned for next week’ – Italian journalist gives Spurs boost with latest transfer update

By Mehdi Gokal -

According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, Japhet Tanganga is close to Spurs exit with talks planned with Milan next week.

In his recent update on Twitter, Longari reported that Spurs and Milan plan on holding fresh talks next week regarding a deal for the Tottenham man.

He tweeted (translated in English):

“New contacts planned for next week between #Milan and #Tottenham to understand the possible costs of #Tanganga . Operation possible on loan with redemption. For the player also a survey of #Valencia .”

According to another report by Pete O’Rourke, who told GIVEMESPORT that Spurs will now only be spending on new arrivals if they offload some players. This is why Antonio Conte will be more than willing to let go of the likes of Tanganga, who possibly does not fit into his current plans.

Japhet has been plagued with injury over the last 18 months or and it remains to be seen if he will reach the required levels to impress the Italian during the preseason.
