‘Clearly wanted to go…’: Alasdair Gold confirms Spurs star wanted summer exit

Alasdair Gold has claimed that Bryan Gil wanted to leave Tottenham Hotspur during the last transfer window.

It was a big summer for Spurs as the fans were eager to see how the club would back Antonio Conte, who managed to get Spurs back into the Champions League.

And while some might feel the overall transfer window was an underwhelming one, Conte was aided by eight new arrivals, who helped bolster the squad, improve the first team, and prepare the club for the future, but some players, such as Bryan Gil, were left unhappy with how the club acted towards the end of the transfer window.

Gil, who Gold claims wished to leave the club to return to Valencia during the transfer window was left disappointed when the Spurs hierarchy pulled the plug on his transfer on the deadline day. Gold said on his Youtube channel:

“I think more still could have been done, of course. When you’ve got players like Bryan Gil who clearly wanted to go – I saw a couple of days after his Instagram story, it’s no secret, he wanted to go and play regular football, and I’m sure Japhet Tanganga was exactly the same as well.”

He was so happy last season and so were his family.
Why send him back there anyway you dont pay the equivalent of £40m for a prospect.

The Gil situation perhaps sums up the reality of Paraciti’s level of work. An unhappy kid who wants to play and develop stuck on the bench all season. Gatusso said that Gil would go there because Spurs had a replacement incoming. Yet, another fluffed deal and Gil’s staying put…genius!! 😂
