“Can Definitely See It Happening” – Pundit Thinks Tottenham Transfer Is A “No Brainer”

Juan Foyth to Leeds United this summer…sounds about right.

It certainly sounds more plausible than Juan Foyth to Barcelona.

In-fact, former Premier League striker turned pundit Kevin Phillips told Football Insider that the Tottenham defender to Elland Road is a deal he “can definitely see happening”, especially in light of his bargain £8m asking price.

Phillips said: “I like Foyth. He has shown that he can play in the Premier League, it does not faze him.

“If Ben White moves on then you are at least replacing him with Premier League experience. He is a good player but there is question marks over whether he is the same calibre as Ben White.

“A run of games would certainly benefit him. It has been a while since he has played regularly but I like the qualities he possesses. I could definitely see that one happening.

“It is almost a no-brainer. If they could get that over the line it would be a good deal because it would not cost a fortune.”

Foyth’s agent Claudio Curti told talkSPORT earlier this month that the Argentine’s future is likely away from North London because he has only featured three times under Jose Mourinho.

The 22-year-old was a prospect that Mauricio Pochettino had high hopes for so he could be a good fit under Poch’s mentor Marcelo Bielsa.

Ben White has impressed so much at Leeds that he is expect to be highly coveted in the summer market. They have very little chance of bringing him back from Brighton & Hove Albion who will either keep the 22-year-old for themselves or sell him to the highest bidder.

And that’s when Leeds might come calling for Foyth…

Basically unproven at this level, but an Argentinian International, on the same pitch with Messi which is weird.
