Tottenham Hotspur are currently experiencing an extremely turbulent period as the search for a new manager enters its third month.
Numerous names have been linked with the vacant position, creating a whirlwind of speculation and anticipation among the fans.
However, in stark contrast, there has been a surprising lack of news regarding the vacant sporting director position after the departure of former director Fabio Paratici.
Fabio Paratici stepped down from his position following a ban on him from all football activities across the globe, leaving a void in the club’s hierarchy.
They have been linked with Brentford’s Lee Dykes and Wolves’ Matt Hobbs in the past and the most recent links were with Feyenoord general manager Dennis te Kloese. Spurs reportedly had made an offer to him for the director role at the club.
However, he reportedly said on record in the Netherlands that he has turned down an approach from the North London club.
German outlet BILD reporter Tobi Altschaffl has now made a surprise claim that Tottenham are interested in Bayern Munich’s technical director Marco Neppe.
The club has made some drastic decisions behind the scenes. Right after they won the Bundesliga title, it was announced that CEO Oliver Kahn has been sacked.
There have also been rumours about Thomas Tuchel not being incharge next season despite having just replaced Julian Nagelsmann.
Amidst the chaos, their technical director is now being linked with a move to Spurs.
However, Tobi claims that nothing is decided as yet and that Neppe was at Bayern yesterday planning for the new season.
Update Marco Neppe: Tottenham is actually interested in Bayern’s technical director, meanwhile there is a loose request. Nothing is decided, Neppe was part of the squad planning for the new season at FC Bayern yesterday.

There is no doubt that Daniel Levy right now perhaps needs a sporting director more than ever, someone who could provide the club with a sense of direction and organization.
While the Bayern man could be a great candidate for the job, whether Spurs will make an approach for him remains to be seen.
