Premier League man emerges as a contender for key Tottenham role

By Mehdi Gokal -

Brentford’s technical director Lee Dykes has ‘emerged as a contender‘ for the role of sporting director as Totenham seek replacement for Fabio Paratici.

Fabio Paratici last month resigned from his role as a sporting director after his appeal against the ban was rejected.

The Italian was banned from all football activities by Italian football and the ban for a a financial fraud scandal during his time at Juventus. The ban was then extended globally by FIFA due to which the Italian had to step down from his role.

This has left the club without a sporting director and without a manager as the season draws to an end.

Daniel Levy is currently in search for both the vacancies alongside newly appointed Chief Football Officer Scott Munn who is brought in to head all operations at the club.

According to the report by Daily Mail, Brentford’s Lee Dykes is a name that has emerged a potential candidate for the sporting director role along with Johannes Spors.

The report claims that Dykes has a lot of experience having worked in all four of England’s leagues.

Julian Nagelsmann who is said to be one of the favourites for the managerial job at Tottenham has reportedly asked for clarity from the club regarding the next sporting director as well as his own say at transfers.

With just 3 games left for the season to end, the pressure piles up on Daniel Levy to make these key appointments ahead of the new season.
