Oliver Skipp has been monitored closely during his loan stint at Norwich this season, and he could be set for a bigger role when he returns.
The young midfielder has slotted in smoothly at Daniel Farke’s side, and he is one of the key players of the Canaries now.
His fine performances means several teams will want him at the end of this season, but he is unlikely to be allowed to leave Tottenham again.
Football Insider reports that Tottenham are happy with how he has performed at Norwich and Jose Mourinho believe that he will have a player that is ready for first-team actions when he returns.
The midfielder has bulked up this season and has become a more effective box-to-box player, unlike when he started as a defensive midfielder.
He will return to a Tottenham team that has some fine midfielders, but the report says he may well move ahead of Harry Winks in the pecking order.
Both players came through the ranks at Spurs, but Winks has struggled to play this season and when he has, he has generally been poor.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is the one undisputed starter in the Tottenham central midfield.
Skipp might return to London and become the trusted partner to the Dane next season.

Winks is crap. He won’t benefit from anything. He’s not good at football.
Winks might have benefited from a loan spell when younger. For whatever reason his progress has stalled or gone backwards. Skipp is better off at Norwich for the moment I don’t want him dragged down by some of the players who should be setting an example to the younger ones.
I don’t have the stats but in defence of the players maybe relying on too small a squad, not refreshing the squad during the infamous blank windows has taken a toll on them.
Dombele has been improved this Season. He is still overweight, looks upset with life, and he’d rather be somewhere else. Good without being great and he is one of our better players.

Spurs fans need to be “clever cnuts” and stop being sentimental with players….Winks is a great lad and I’ll enjoy watching him in the Championship like I do all the other ex Spurs players but I want winners and ballers in the team NOW…Sell them Levy ffs and move on!!!
