The Guardian has reported that Bayern Munich have made a second bid of £70 million plus add-ons for Harry Kane in their ongoing pursuit of the Tottenham Hotspur striker.

The German club’s initial offer of £60 million was rejected by Spurs, who value the player at £100 million.

Despite the setback, Bayern Munich persisted in their efforts and have reportedly reached an agreement with Kane himself.

It is believed that Thomas Tuchel, Bayern’s manager, played a crucial role in convincing the player to consider a move to the Bundesliga.

However, the direct talks with Kane has not gone down well with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who is said to be furious.

Levy reportedly plans to make the German club pay by demanding an even higher fee than his original £100 million valuation.

Bayern Munich’s second bid reportedly intends to entice Kane to push for a transfer, potentially facilitating an agreement between the two clubs.

The report claims that Bundesliga giants are currently awaiting an official response from Tottenham regarding their latest offer.

Tottenham have also offered Kane a new lucrative contract in an attempt to persuade him to stay.

However, the England international has not shown immediate willingness to sign it and is reportedly open to considering other options.

If Spurs reject Bayern’s second bid, as expected, report suggests that the German club will return with a third offer.

They remain keen on securing Kane’s services to bolster their attacking options.

Kane, who has spent his entire career at Tottenham, has an impressive record of 280 goals and 64 assists in 434 appearances for the club.

He is the highest goal scorer in Tottenham’s history and currently sits second in the all-time Premier League goal scoring charts, just behind Alan Shearer.

While Kane had previously expressed his desire to break Shearer’s record, it appears that he may be willing to sacrifice that ambition in favor of challenging for trophies at Bayern Munich.
