The heat beneath the Gareth Bale to Tottenham rumour is taking the paint from most office walls this morning, with the suggestion being from Sky Sports’ Good Morning Transfers show, that Bale is thought to be more likely than it is unlikely.
However, only in January, Bale’s super agent Jonathan Barnet was adamant that his star could not possibly be considered as the sort of player that could be merely loaned out.
“Why would one of the best players on Earth go on loan? That’s ridiculous,” Barnett said. “At the moment, he is going to be playing football for Real Madrid, and he has got two-and-a-half years left on his contract. He is happy and hopefully he will win a couple of more things with Real Madrid.”

Perhaps the animosity from the Real Madrid fans finally got to his client and the club itself became so angry that the climate had to change, but the u turn from Barnett is certainly pronounced.

Barnett wanted a sell, not a loan….. More money for him after he’s taken his cut….. It should be about what Bale wants, rather than what those middle men think. As agents they represent the player… Barnet has never had nice words about us… He’s a gooner too if I remember right?
I think we are a club that has dined on nostalgia for so long, it runs through us like words through a stick of rock. What spurs fan would not want him back? If it does happen, I just pray he can stay fit and still cut it in the premier league. COYS!
