Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has one more year after this season with the north London club. After being hired in November, the Italian tactician has already questioned whether he will remain past the 2021-22 campaign.

Ahead of their matchup against Manchester United, Conte was asked about his future again during his news conference. The 52-year-old stated that he has another year on his contract, and he enjoys his time with Spurs, wanting to get them back to being a competitive squad.

“In this moment, there is only one truth, and [it is] I am committed with this club for another year,” Conte said, per The Guardian. “The club wanted this situation, and I accepted because it was good to know each other [first]. After four and a half months, the club understood my way to work, and I understood the club.”

“We now have three months to the end of the season to continue to improve this knowledge of each other and then to find the best solution for both. I am enjoying to work for this club. My ambition is to fight to be competitive, to fight to win. I know my soul, my heart, and my mind wants this. I hope that we can match these two situations.”

Spurs are fighting for a top-four spot, and they could leap over a club that’s in their way in Manchester United. The two sides will meet this weekend at Old Trafford. Nonetheless, he wants those above him to back the vision he has for Tottenham.

“It will be very important to have a good vision. In January, we showed that we have just started to improve the situation,” Conte said.

“To fight to win the league or to stay in the top four, we need a big, big improvement, and we have started to do this with these players. We are improving a lot. But you need in the future to have other important steps. And to have the ambition with facts and not only with words.”

A couple of weeks ago, Tottenham defeated Manchester City at the Etihad, so they’ll look for a repeat performance in the same city. Arsenal currently holds that fourth spot with 48 points, three ahead of Spurs, who will want to keep up with The Gunners.

The good thing about our Tony is that longevity isnt part of his MO so have a good summer (although most of our top targets Dyabala/Kessie/Botman) seem to be destined for much bigger clubs already but that still leaves some very good players gettable and I’m sure he will extend by 12 months.

Great news & now hopefully the media will stop inventing nonsense, till next season starts at least.
Now Mr. Levy, it’s over to you & “to have the ambition with FACTS”

I do not believe Levy and ENIC will back Conte in a manner that makes him feel he wants to remain at the club longer than his existing contract period. Conte is not interested in ENIC projects that have no basis in ambition and success on the football pitch. Levy will be tapping up Pooch to return. Pooch has shown that even with money and world class players he cannot win things consistently like Conte, Conte to PSG and Pooch to THFC may be a perfect fit tor ENIC and Conte. We can then look forward to yet another Groundhog Day project with Pooch uttering meaningless soundbites of being “ berry appy” and knowing that he will have another lucrative contract with no pressure to win anything.

We require serious investment in the summer to achieve Conté’s goals. There’s no reason to say that won’t happen – we’ve had windows where we’ve spent a lot of cabbage on players – but the trick Tottenham have refused to learn year on year is how to spend wisely. Our head of recruitment – a little bald leach named Levy – is clueless, and thusly our recruitment model is a shambles.
Even clubs with bottomless pits can get it completely wrong if they don’t recruit wisely, as our former gaffer is finding out just across the Channel.
We will all feverishly scroll through the transfer news over the summer window, and we will all, in all likelihood, be left with bald patches from pulling our own hair out.
