Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta recently complained about fixture scheduling after The Gunners fell 2-0 to Liverpool.

The Spanish tactician talked about jow television broadcasters’ decisions to have Arsenal host Liverpool late on Wednesday night before taking on Aston Villa in Saturday’s early kick-off.

However, during his press conference ahead of their matchup against West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte fired back at Arteta.

“Yeah, but I only want Arteta to remember the game postponed. Tottenham-Arsenal, okay? If we speak about unfair. I stop,” Conte said, per 90min.

“But In general, I think my answer is enough. Okay, yeah, it’s enough. If someone wants to speak about fair or unfair. We postponed the game, Tottenham-Arsenal, if you remember. I don’t forget this, and I think that it’s not right to speak about fair or unfair.”

The 52-year-old pointed at the controversially postponed north London derby as an example of double standards by Arteta. Arsenal had a proposal to delay January’s clash accepted as they had a depleted squad.

However, the decision was controversial because most of The Gunners’ absences were due to injuries, suspension, or transfers away from Arsenal instead of positive Covid-19 cases.

When the match does get played, this north London Derby will have huge implications on the top-four race in the Premier League as both clubs are vying for that final UEFA Champions League spot.

Well said Antonio. ONE covid case at the club that week, what an absolute p*ss-take it was! I hope we smash those bastards when this game is eventually played. In May…

Absolutely! We had 3 away games, up north, in the space of a week. Didn’t here a peep out of anyone about it, despite the losses at Burnley and Boro.
