Tottenham are facing ongoing injury struggles and manager Ange Postecoglou has now hinted towards January incomings.

Despite strengthening the team significantly over the summer with the additions of Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, Wilson Odobert, and Lucas Bergvall, injuries to key forwards such as Solanke, Richarlison, Odobert, and Mikey Moore have exposed a lack of depth in the attacking department.

A promising addition to address this gap is South Korean winger Min-hyuk Yang, who is set to join Spurs in January after signing a pre-contract agreement in July.

The 18-year-old arrives following an outstanding season in the K League 1, where he registered 12 goals and six assists in 38 appearances. Known for his ability to play on either wing, Yang’s versatility could prove to be a valuable asset for Postecoglou’s attacking system.

However, Postecoglou has urged caution regarding the expectations for Min-hyuk’s immediate impact given his young age, emphasised that the teenager would require time to adjust and may not make an instant contribution. His long-term potential, however, aligns perfectly with the manager’s vision for the team’s development.

In the meantime, he has stated that the club are aware of the situation and hinted that the attack is a position that could be bolstered in the upcoming windows.

When asked if the club needs further bolstering in the attack, Postecoglou said (quotes via The Standard):

“With Wilson it’s long-term, hopefully Mikey by the turn of year will be back as well, but he’s 17.

“With Richy it has been frustrating because I see the potential in him and to be fair when he’s been fit he’s always made an impact, for me anyway.

“I think back to the start of last year and when he came back into the team during the year he went on a scoring run.

“Even the little games he’s played this year, he’s made an impact. So, you know, that’s what you kind of hold on to, but there’s no doubt we need some bolstering in that front third over the next couple of transfer windows.

“Dom coming in has been great, but again we can’t overload him either, because ultimately, you know, even if he stays fit and nothing happens, performance will invariably drop if his energy levels drop. So it’s something we’re aware of and need to plan for.”

As Tottenham face a crucial period, the club may look to explore further attacking reinforcements in the transfer market.

While Yang’s arrival is highly anticipated, Spurs remain poised to act decisively if opportunities arise to strengthen their frontline further.

Among attackers linked with a move is Ivan Toney, who was strongly linked with a move in the summer before the club signed Solanke. The former Brentford man has even been backed to make a much bigger impact than what Solanke has made so far.
