Giovani Lo Celso was one of Tottenham’s outstanding players in their Europa Conference League match against Mura last night.
The midfielder crowned an all-around impressive performance with a goal and an assist as Tottenham ran out 5-1 winners.
He hasn’t been in the good books of Tottenham’s fans in recent weeks, but some fans couldn’t help but lavish him with praise for his performance yesterday.
It was a good day’s work for most of Tottenham’s players and Harry Kane was the star with a hat-trick, but Lo Celso clearly impressed for the Lilywhites and may have won back some disgruntled fans.
The midfielder celebrated the win on his Twitter account with a post and fans filled the comments to ensure he knows about how impressed they were about his performance in the game. Here are some reactions:
Absolutely phenomenal. An Argentine better than you at football simply does not exist.

Lo Celso will hopefully take that form to the Premier League where Tottenham needs points after losing their last three matches.
Lo celso is 💩… lets see if he can complete 1 90 minute EPL game this year… infact it will be a close run thing between him & Tanguy.. think I make Tanguy slight favourite…🤔
So some idiot on twitter thinks Messi doesn’t exist.Priceless.
Otherwise known to science as ‘Sissoko’s Law’.
Look at the opposition. Let’s see how he does against Villa before the Twitterati go bonkers. He’s been rubbish.
Despite my ingrained cynicism about all things Spurs, and the fact that we were playing a pub team which is about our level these days, I have always thought there is a good player inside Lo Celso. I have a theory, however absurd some of you will find it, that it can take up to two years for an overseas player to settle into the PL, particularly a Latin one. The Argentinian side is not a bad team these days.
I’d of got these reviews had I played last night. We’re all Outstanding against a pub team. Except Dele of course.
Played okay against a side nobody has ever heard of.
I’m sure half of this stuff is made up! 😂
