Fabrizio Romano has provided the latest update on the future of Tottenham winger Ivan Perisic.
It appears that Perisic has already played his final game for Spurs, and there are strong indications linking him with a return to Croatia.
Croatian club Hajduk Split have expressed a keen interest in signing Perisic, and discussions between the two clubs are reportedly in progress.
Mindaugas Nikoličius, the sporting director of Hajduk Split, last week confirmed that talks are ongoing with Tottenham regarding the player.
Romano had previously reported that the Croatian club is eager to secure the signing of Perisic, considering him their top target.
And he has now shared the latest development. As per the transfer expert, the deal is ‘advancing well’ and is now at the ‘final stages’.
According to him, Perisic himself is enthusiastic about the move, and Tottenham is prepared to accept the loan offer.
He shared the update on X:

The 34-year-old winger is currently sidelined due to a significant ACL injury, which is expected to keep him out until April.
Perisic joined Tottenham on a free transfer from Inter Milan last summer under Antonio Conte.
In his time with Spurs, Perisic has made 50 appearances across all competitions, contributing with one goal and providing 14 assists.
