A report details how Tottenham could swoop in and steal Man United target

By Eddie Razo -

Strengthening their attack will be at the top of the list for Tottenham Hotspur. The north London club will want to add scoring depth behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. There are various names linked to Spurs; Ajax’s Antony is one of the newest names to surface.

Manchester United has been the club constantly linked to the Brazilian as they hope to reunite the forward with manager Erik ten Hag. However, Spurs could swoop in and undertake Antony considering they have a chip that the Dutch giants want.

According to The Independent, the north London club could offer Steven Bergwijn to Ajax as part of a deal for Antony, with the Eredivisie champions having shown interest in the Tottenham winger.

Spurs have received an offer from Ajax for Bergwijn, but it the bid didn’t meet their asking price, but perhaps this is a way both sides can be happy. The report doesn’t state how much the Premier League side would have to pay while also including the winger.

The 22-year-old appeared in 32 fixtures while scoring 12 goals and recording ten assists this past season.

Aye, a squad to actually compete for the Premier and Champions League needs quality and strength in depth in ALL positions.. You need two players for each position.

Gollini has already gone back, he was just a loan with an option to buy 👍

I meant out of the right wing backs, sell both and we need to buy more than Spence. I expect just one will go…. Surprised you’ve got Rodon in there, thought you were a fan of his.. We can only sell one homegrown player after signing Forster. I suspect Winks will be the first out.
That list is ideal by the time of the next summer window, though I would say you missed Ben Davies… And take the Dane and Dier off for now, see how they get on this season.
Ideally in this window we sell around half of your list of players and sign more in to upgrade.. Big earners like Ndombele need to be shifted most importantly.

No daily brief today, so here is the Cushions, and you’re most welcome to it.. It looks like we’re on the verge of signing Spence, I’m not sure if he’s an upgrade on Royal or Doherty. Perhaps he’s one for the future.. Which begs the question which right wing back do we sell? Doherty had finally shaken off his long covid and was playing like his old wolves self. Towards the end of the season he was playing well and his numbers were back up. Royal had the better season though, more game time and he constantly improved.. Both ‘kind of’ deserve to stay.. So who do we sell?
Keep it Tottenham 🐔
