“A player of his stature deserves to win titles each season” Spurs have failed Kane claims teammate

By Bruce Grove -

Tottenham midfielder, Moussa Sissoko has supported Harry Kane for asking to leave the club as the Englishman seeks to win trophies.

Kane has been loyal to Spurs his entire career, but he hasn’t won any silverware in North London.

He has always played his part in ensuring that the club wins as many games as they can so that they can end their trophy drought, but it hasn’t been enough.

He has now reportedly asked to leave and Sissoko admits that Kane is so good, he has to always win trophies.

The Frenchman also admitted that he and his teammates have let the striker down because he has done more than enough to pick up silverware.

He insisted that he has no idea if the striker will leave, but he would wish him well in whatever decision he eventually makes in his career.

Sissoko told Foot Mercato: ‘Like all players, he wants to win titles. A player of his stature deserves to win titles each season. Sadly, we have failed to do so each time for various reasons. I think that this must irk him inside.

‘I do not know if he will leave or not, but if he ever did leave, I would wish him the best because he deserves to win titles with all that he has done.

‘He is truly an extraordinary player. We would like to have him with us for as long as possible, aside from that, it is all between the president, his agent and him. I simply wish him the best.’

It remains unclear if teams will be able to afford Kane this summer because Spurs will not allow him to go on the cheap.

Kane should win titles every season. A player of his stature! True! A club of Spurs stature should win trophies a lot of seasons. But the owners have made us a laughing stock. Sissoko etc have nothing to be sorry for. They cant help being poor players. Its ENIC that should say sorry

Levy quote:” the club had “lost sight of some key priorities” during construction of its new stadium and the Covid-19 pandemic.”
Umm I doubt that ENIC have ever been aware of any football priorities, lost or not.

Realises no Harry to carry him and the rest he might be in a tight spot next season.

IMO apart from Kane, Son, the Dane, aging Toby and Rodon offload the rest in a fire sale clearly easier said than done!!

I’ve got a whole list the same criticism can be applied to DD. Moussa is definitely on the list and the list is long.

Pablito IMO a tad harsh singling out Sissoko for criticism.Barring 4 or 5 of the current personnel your premise can be applied to the rest of our average team!!

And a player of your stature Moussa doesn’t deserve to be at Spurs – for a whole host of different reasons. Au revoir!
