Tottenham Hotspur is hoping to get back on the winning side after crashing out in the FA Cup to Middlesbrough FC last week. The north London club won’t be winning any silverware this season; however, they’re in a fight for a top-four spot.

Ahead of their matchup against Everton, manager Antonio Conte spoke with the club’s official website regarding their upcoming fixture against The Toffees. The Italian tactician stated that the matchup was a good test for his team.

“This is a good game for us, in the right moment. We are having the right time to prepare the game and, for sure, from now until the rest of the season, the only positive thing is we can have more days to prepare for the games. In the past, when we had more time to prepare, we had good results,”

“We know we’re facing a good team and a new manager. Frank Lampard is showing that he can do this job very well. In his last two experiences, he did well with Derby and with Chelsea. Monday will be a tough game for both teams.”

Spurs sit five points from Manchester United, who occupies fourth place with 47 points. However, Tottenham has three games in hand, so there are plenty of opportunities to climb up the standings.

Nonetheless, they can’t afford to drop points as they have done in the past against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley. The other team with games in hand is Arsenal, so if Tottenham stumbles, their north London rivals could take advantage and catch the fourth spot.

Depends which Spurs turn up I guess. Jekyll and Hyde would be a good way to describe our character right now.
I always though the Leeds result was a fluke and flattered us.
