The Managing Director of Football Tottenham Hotspur Fabio Paratici wants to reinforce the squad’s midfield. He would like to bring in a familiar name that he brought while at Juventus.
According to Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Tottenham is one of several suitors that Juventus has for their midfielder Weston McKennie. The report doesn’t add any further details of what exactly the London-based club is willing to offer and what kind of deal it would be.
Nonetheless, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Paratici wants to land a former player that he brought while as the head of the Italian giant.
There are a few days left until the summer transfer window closes next week, and if the new club chief feels that McKennie will help this squad, expect discussions to proceed with people he knows.
With the Harry Kane saga now behind them, Tottenham will want to make a few moves to provide more confidence for a squad that’s off to a good start, winning their first two league matches.
